Manuel DeLeon is charged with injury to the elderly. According to Spring Branch ISD police, DeLeon was angry that North Shore, the team he was cheering for, lost to Cy-Fair at Tully Stadium this past Friday and that his son was not being played enough--he felt--in the game.

DeLeon reportedly jumped the railing, then grabbed North Shore Coach David Aymond and threw him to the ground.

Because Coach Aymond is older than 65, DeLeon was charged with Injury to an Elderly Person.

Galena Park ISD released the following statement regarding the allegations.

“The North Shore Mustang football program has enjoyed great success under Coach Aymond. While the loss in the playoffs was disappointing, attacking a coach was in no way justified. It is regrettable this parent made such a poor decision. Coach Aymond is at work as usual today and will continue to prepare each and every athlete for success on and off the football field.”

My comment is only this... What happened to teaching "Good Sportsmanship"?  This is only a game!!!
